Who is the HIV Coach?

My Mission Statement:

I help clients to examine, accept and adapt themselves so that they can make the most of their opportunities to build the balanced, contented life that they want.

My name is Andy and I am a professional Life Coach.  I trained with The Coaching Academy - the biggest coach training school in Europe - and hold an advanced Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching.  I also hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Swindon College.  I am currently the Chair of the Cumbria Coaching Network.

I have worked with many individuals affected by HIV / AIDS and a number of HIV related charities.  I am a trustee of the National Long Term Survivors Group, a charity supporting people living with HIV for 5 or more years.

I carry out most of my coaching by telephone but face-to-face coaching is also possible.

I believe that people living with HIV should be given every opportunity to lead a full productive life.  Coaching can help the individual to assess their personal circumstances and make positive decisions about their future. 

I am encouraging local HIV support services to use coaching to help improve the lives of people affected by HIV.  If you run or are part of a support group working with people affected by HIV, then please give me a call to discuss how you might introduce coaching into your support services.

Along with a number of associates, we can offer on-site training courses on many issues around living with HIV.  Examples include Positive Prevention, Leadership, Bereavement, Disability / Equal Opportunities, Communication, Assertiveness and Coaching Skills.
